Phil Perry - Co-Host

Phil is a lifelong angler who grew up fishing the farm ponds and lakes of Oklahoma and after moving to Texas in 1998, got hooked on the salt!

Phil is the founder of Coastal Kayak Angler. He is the co-founder and co-host of the Fishin' Mission. He has hosted segments on Sports Radio 610 in Houston.

He has fished many kayak tournaments across the country and was a member of the 2005 Wilderness Systems Kayak Fishing Team.

 

 
 

Capt. Benny Landrum - Co-Host

Benny has been fishing the salt for 25 years. Born and raised in Houston, he has strong ties to the Texas coast. Benny is currently a Sales Representative for Shimano. He is the former National Sales Manager for Malibu Kayaks, a licensed Coast Guard Captain, and part-time saltwater fishing guide.

Benny does have a history in radio, hosting segments on talk radio 850am in Dallas and Sports Radio 610am in Houston He is co-founder and co-host of the Fishin' Mission.

He has emceed numerous events including more than 10 fishing tournaments and the Lombardi Award twice. 

Benny has fished competitively and is on Pro Staff with several sponsors, including Lone Star Rods, Werner Paddles and Mann's Bait Co. He currently competes in the Oberto Redfish Cup.

 
 

Capt. Cory Routh - Mid-Atlantic Correspondent

Cory "Ruthless" Routh is a kayak fishing guide from Virginia Beach, Virginia. His marine biology background and knowledge of Virginia's marine fisheries, makes him one of the premier kayak fishing guides on the lower Chesapeake Bay. Ruthless specializes in Virginia skinny water fishing and nighttime trips to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.

He is currently a member of the Legacy Paddle Sports Pro-Staff and President/co-founder of the Tidewater Kayak Anglers Association. Cory is also a pro staffer for St. Croix Rod Company. He currently writes a kayak fishing column for the Chesapeake-Angler Magazine.

"KayakMike" grew up in Jacksonville, FL fishing the fresh- and salt-waters of North Florida. He gave up his boat for a kayak in 2004 has not looked back.

With over 22 years experience developing software, Mike combined his passion for yak fishing and technology to start www.JaxKayakFishing.com, North Florida's Kayak Fishing Community and host of the Jacksonville Kayak Fishing Classic.

Mike guides part-time and as a member of the Florida Outdoor Writers Association writes for several print and internet publications.
